Tinos is mostly known for relegious reasons amongst the Greek population than it is as a holiday destination. This is due to the famous "panagia tis Tinou" church and icon which has remakable healing properties.

I visited this Greek island for the first time this past July. Stayed at a very nice hotel (can't remember the name because it was so new, the owners had not as yet put up a sign) I will however say that it made an excellent impression on me. The people were freindly, especially the "father".
